In this tutorial, you will learn how to install and uninstall your wi-fi drivers in Windows 7.

Step 1: Click on the Start menu and type ‘device manager’ in the search box. Hit enter to start it.

Step 2: From the Network Adapters list, select your wireless adapter, and double-click on it.

Step 3: Select the Driver tab and click Uninstall.

Step 4: You will get a confirmation dialog. Click OK to accept. Your wi-fi drivers are now uninstalled.

Step 5: Click the Update Driver button to install a fresh copy of them.

Step 6: Let Windows automatically search for the best match in its online database.

Click Close to end the operation.

  5. OK so I deleted "Intel ProSet" because everybody said it's just extra software, not actual drivers or something. Well that COMPLETELY broke my wifi. And when I say completely, I mean the adapter was gone. No yellow triangle, no "find driver" simplicity. Nah, it's all gone. How can you load drivers to something that isn't there? I searched and I searched and I searched… I could not find the solution, I had to do system restore. Can somebody PLEASE tell me what you're supposed to do when basically your computer acts like you just ripped your wifi card out of the computer? I don't understand why so many people said Intel ProSet wasn't needed. I even reinstalled it! Yes, that's right, I reinstalled it, and it did not work. WTF?

  7. guys, did you try to reboot your laptop? because after you uninstalled then its need to reboot your laptop and automatic reinstalled it back without internet. good luck.
